PROPOSAL:

The Town of Shelburne’s proposal is to rebuild/ resurface 1.7 miles of South Shelburne Road. Scope of Work would consist of replacing 10-12 culverts, followed by erosion control and bank support. A full Depth Reclamation with vibratory compaction and fine grading would take place to stabilize the sub base. Calcium chloride would then be sprayed to tighten up the freshly ground up sub-base. Then asphalt binder in the amount of 2” would be laid out for the base coat followed by 2” of top base. The estimated cost for culvert replacement with bank support and erosion control, FDR w/vibratory compaction and calcium and finalizing with 4” of Asphalt is estimated at $1,000,000. This Safety Improvement Project will strive to enhance and retain the beauty of scenic Shelburne.

All work on this project will be performed within existing right of ways and all abutters will be notified via town website and U.S. Postal Service.
